  • Under Romanian law, children under the age of 12 or shorter than 135 cm (53 inches) are required to use a car seat or booster seat. Please note that we do not provide car seats or boosters. We can only accommodate children who do not meet these criteria if you bring your own seat or booster.
  • This tour requires moderate walking on a variety of terrains, including paved paths, uneven ground, cobblestones and city hills. Inside the castle, you will encounter steep staircases, some of which lack handrails, as there is no elevator access. Additionally, you should expect to stand for extended periods during the walks.
  • This tour is not recommended for people with limited mobility
  • A good level of physical fitness is required to take part in this activity

Full Itinerary

Embark on an excursion from Cluj to visit three of Transylvania’s notable sites. See an underground theme park that’s nestled inside the Turda Salt Mine, go for a hike through the dramatic Turda Gorge, and encounter traditional rural life in a preserved Rimetea village.

Start your experience with pickup and a short drive to the Turda Salt Mine. Take a guided tour and spend some time in its unique underground theme park. Try out the ferris wheel, play a round of minigolf, or ride a boat on its underground lake.

Hop back in the vehicle and head for the Turda Gorge. Marvel at the 3-kilometer long canyon, with massive walls sculpted in weathered limestone. Hike through high cliffs with steep ridges, rock towers, caves, and lots of varieties of flora and fauna.

Conclude your experience with a visit to Rimetea village. Enjoy strolling amongst traditional white houses with green windows. Get a feel for Transylvanian rural life in a preserved and beautiful location.

What is cancellation policy?

Cancellation fees – Cancellation fees may apply to any cancellations by the traveller of a service provided by Get-Locals.com. Unless otherwise specified, the cancellation policy is as follows:

  1. Cancellations for set tours and made more than 24 hours prior to travel receive a full refund.
  2. Cancellations for set tours made 24 hours or less prior to travel require the traveller to pay for the tour in full, and no refund will be issued.

Cancellations for custom itineraries (“Create Your Own”) are as follows:

  • 60+ days to departure – Full refund
  • 59 – 31 days to departure – 50% cancellation fee
  • 30 days and under to departure – 100% cancellation fee
